Our Story

Native Group of Companies (NAGO) is consultancy, farmer, and trading company, uniquely positioned in the Ugandan Agri-Business industry engaging in high-quality specialty cocoa, coffee and vanilla sourcing, post-harvest handling from selective origins, market access/linkages, and capacity building & coaching of SMEs, logistics/forwarding among others. NAGO provides its services in other countries (Democratic republic of Congo, Cameroon, Tanzania, Rwanda) and has established partnerships with the international private sector (ESCO, OLAM, ICAM CHOCOLATE, SILVA CACAO, BONNAT CHOCOLATIER, ZOTO, XOCO), NGOs (Trias, Rikolto, ITC) and public sector (UCDA).

NAGO works closely with farmers organized in cooperative societies and Unions across the country by providing practical business management coaching and trainings in Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), Financial and Administrative management of cooperatives to market access and linkages. Through holistic trainings on good agricultural practices and knowing the daily challenges of rural communities.

smart climate agriculture and good agricultural practices to reduce product rejection and wastage due to low quality, product price fluctuations, to maintain and improve climate and soil fertility, working with farmers to increase regenerative agriculture and reduce environmental impact, to improve production and productivity of plots and trees or garden, to attract high farm gate prices.
